Two Types of People

live2succeed3_WP

There are two types of people in this world. There are those who live to succeed and there are those who live to survive.

Which one are you?

Living to survive is living without purpose, meaning there is nothing to live for but the next day. No goals in sight, no vision and no dream, nothing but the daily toils that lead to nowhere.

Every day should be a new stepping stone toward a larger picture, but if there is nothing to look forward to, then every day you leave yourself stranded on the same stone.

Living to succeed is living with a purpose to achieve the things in your life you grind for everyday with ambitious intentions that lead to greater life results.

Challenge yourself every day in some way, and watch the transformation.

Quality Effort

Quality Effort (QE) is a combination of two important elements: understanding and attempting to perfect the little things. These two elements combined together bring your execution to a whole new level. QE is about being diligent toward every task by maximizing effort.

Let’s define these terms, quality and effort. I define quality as high-grade excellence and something as being superior. I define effort as the output of mental and or physical energy under a determined mindset. That’s a lot to swallow but I don’t see effort any other way.

The first element I mentioned is understanding: applying thought into everything involved as you perform a single task. Everything from the most immediate impact to how it affects other tasks and your ultimate goals. As you look at a complicated piece of equipment like a car engine for example, the engineer that built it understands every moving part and its purpose. If you have a vision and a dream that you want to achieve, you have to understand every task that is involved and its purpose. When you put purpose behind what you want to achieve, you put value into achieving goals. Just as the engineer knows how valuable every moving part is to the engine for its success, you need to apply the same approach toward tasks and goals.

As you begin to understand everything involved toward your success, its time to focus on the small achievements. Perfecting the smallest efforts means to perfect every little element to the BEST of your ability. If you keep applying your best effort, then you keep raising the bar for even better effort the next time around. Quality effort maximizes your ability to achieve goals during execution. Some people beat themselves up over the word perfect or perfection. They say “well no one can ever be perfect”. That is right! But, this does not mean you can’t strive for perfection by attempting everything you do with the best of your abilities. Striving is a part of the quality. It’s not about being perfect, its about attempting perfection!
